V. From the vineyard to the grazing lands
Iberian pork products and care of the vineyard Since 2004

At the start of the 21st century, the Grupo Barón de Ley began to diversify into other areas. To do this they constructed a new cellar in Baños de Montemayor (Cáceres), this time dedicated to curing acorn-fed, Iberian pork products: hams, shoulders and loins. Thus the Dehesa Barón de Ley appeared on the scene, subject to the strictest quality standards of the prestigious Denominación de Origen Dehesa de Extremadura label.

Around the same time the subsidiary company, Viñedos Barón de Ley, was created to specifically manage all the vine growing facilities of Barón de Ley and leading the Group's R&D activities with regard to the treatment and evolution of the vines.

At that time, Grupo Barón de Ley is already the owner of one of the most extensive vineyard estates in the Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja.
